Urban Hotspots and Resilience
This work studies how Auckland’s urban hotspots were affected by and recovered from COVID-19 restrictions. It uses human mobility pulses to understand which places remained active, which places declined, and how urban activity returned over time.
The project frames urban hotspots as places defined by both density and diversity of visitors, making them useful indicators for studying resilience in everyday urban life.
