Urban Sidewalk Dynamics

This study examines how sidewalk width relates to pedestrian activity in Auckland using large-scale mobile phone data. Rather than treating sidewalks only as capacity problems, the project asks how street segments support different kinds of urban movement and activity.

The work contributes to a more human-centered view of pedestrian infrastructure by combining physical sidewalk measurements with mobility patterns and points of interest.

Categorizing sidewalk segments through physical and mobility-based indicators.
