AAG 2023 Presentations
At AAG 2023, I presented our work on community resilience to wildfires using human mobility data and network analysis. The project examines whether changes in mobility networks can help quantify how communities absorb, respond to, and recover from wildfire disruptions.
This work grew out of a broader interest in resilience as a dynamic process. By following movement patterns over time, we can move beyond a single before-and-after comparison and start to see how disruption and recovery unfold across places with different social, demographic, and built-environment conditions.
The resilience triangle provides a conceptual frame for measuring disruption and recovery over time.
